Miles for Miley - Day 0
Tomorrow is the big day!
We're all meeting bright and early at West Cumberland Hospital, Whitehaven, tomorrow morning. We are aiming to set off at 07:00, as long as everyone is on time. From there, we are heading down to join the cycle path at Lowca, before continuing on to Workington.
After a short break, we will then continue along the cycle path around Northside, ASDA and Siddick, continuing on through Flimby and stopping in The Thomas Henry, Maryport, for lunch (and the first application of blister plasters).
Then it's a "short" dash along the coast to Allonby, where we'll call into Jack's Surf Bar for a drink and a quick hello. We'll then pass Miley's school and give a quick wave to all her friends, and her sister, Talia. Miley's Head teacher, Mr Owen, will be walking with us on the first day, so it will be great for us to visit the school.
It's then on to Abbeytown where we will be calling it a day. In all, we will have travelled around 30 mile - not a bad start.
If you are going to be in any of these areas, keep an eye out for us and give us a wave. It will certainly help us along. I'm going to be blogging along the way (or trying to, anyway), so keep up to date with our progress as we go.
Off we go!
